Azure Platform Engineer
Drop Table | UK (Remote)
We are looking for an Azure Platform Engineer to help our clients build reliable, scalable cloud platforms across the Microsoft ecosystem. This role is hands-on and engineering-focused, with strong emphasis on infrastructure as code, CI/CD, platform reliability, and application modernisation.
Core Skills and Experience
- Strong Azure platform engineering experience across networking, identity, governance, and operational controls
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and platform automation
- Hands-on Azure DevOps experience for pipelines, release orchestration, and platform delivery
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise and modern source-control workflows at scale
- Strong CI/CD implementation capability including reusable YAML templates and pipeline standards
- Basic application development and modernisation skills to support platform adoption
- Experience with Pulumi in addition to Terraform is highly valuable
- Site Reliability Engineering mindset with focus on resilience, observability, and operational excellence
What You Will Do
- Design and implement Azure landing zones and platform foundations
- Build and maintain reusable IaC modules and engineering standards
- Develop robust CI/CD patterns and YAML template libraries for delivery teams
- Improve reliability through monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks
- Support teams with platform enablement and application modernisation pathways
